The Maine Commercial Property Assessed Clean Energy (C-PACE) program allows owners of eligible commercial and industrial buildings to finance up to 100% of their renewable energy and other sustainability improvements. Title 35-A, Chapter 101 of the Maine Revised Statutes defines eligible properties and installations for funding. Qualifying properties must be real commercial properties that do not have residential mortgages, are not owned by a federal, state, or municipal government, and are located in a municipality that participates in a commercial PACE program. Eligible installations are those that produce energy or heat from renewable resources.
