Thermal energy, energy used for industrial processes and to heat and cool buildings, is a significant contributor to global energy demand and to greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. While policy solutions have been implemented for decades to expand the development and deployment of renewable electricity, low-carbon renewable thermal technologies have not benefitted from such widespread policy support.
On March 18, 2021 at 2:00pm ET, the Renewable Thermal Collaborative hosted a webinar about the challenges of renewable thermal energy for industrial thermal energy buyers as well as policy opportunities to accelerate renewable thermal development and deployment and an introduction to the RTC’s recent publication “Low-Carbon Renewable Thermal Technology Solutions: Policies to Support Development and Deployment.”
