The Illinois Clean Energy Innovation Fund is a revolving investment fund seeded by a grant from the state of Illinois and the U.S. Department of Energy. It is now managed by Evergreen Climate Innovations, a non-profit investment fund. This fund makes direct investments in high-potential, early-stage companies to support innovation in the clean tech sector. Eligible sectors include renewable energy, energy efficiency, energy storage, and alternative fuels. The Illinois Environmental Protection Agency describes the program here: https://www2.illinois.gov/epa/topics/energy/Pages/Clean-Energy-Innovation-Fund.aspx
